Tim Montgomery - Vice President - Digital Partnerships - Mastercard
People’s physical and digital lives are continuing to converge and consumers want a seamless experience no matter how they shop. In the physical world, consumers are seeing a consistent, secure way to pay with “chip/PIN” and contactless. When people shop online, they want the same convenience, but they often have concerns with security, with 1 in 3 having been victim to data breaches, identity theft or credit card fraud. With digital continuing to accelerate by at least 20% annually, it’s essential for companies to give their consumers not only choice in payment options, but offer a secure, frictionless experience. Learn about best practices to provide safer ways for your consumers to pay that will not only help improve approval rates and interoperability, but reduce false declines, enhance security and improve the overall consumer experience.
Dennis Wall - CEO - BillingPlatform
The way people and organizations are “buying” products and services is increasingly at odds with the traditional notions of packaging and pricing solutions. Innovators like Amazon Web Services, Uber, and Netflix are employing more complex hybrid billing models – meaning a blend of traditional, subscription, and usage-based models to monetize – or bill – for their solutions.
Pricing models are increasingly customer-specific, which serves two purposes: it drives move revenue, but also more closely aligns with the customer’s perception of value. This fundamentally changes how companies need to think about pricing models and what’s required from their billing systems to stay competitive.
To stay ahead of the competition, next generation billing systems require a very different set of capabilities from legacy systems. Dennis will explore these trends and will give examples of how two companies are addressing these challenges.
